God, send me anywhere, only go with me. Lay any burden on me, only sustain me. And sever any tie in my heart except the tie that binds my heart to Yours.

About This Quote

The author of this quote is thought to be the 6th century poet, Hafiz, who prayed for the strength to live a great life. In this prayer, Hafiz was asking God to give him all the strength he needed to live a successful life. He wanted God’s help with his many tasks and burdens, but he also wanted God’s strength as well as His blessing. We can all relate to this prayer because we all have burdens and challenges that we need help with.

The key is how we react to those burdens and challenges. God wants us to ask Him for help and guidance, but then say thank you when the task or challenge is completed. That’s what makes a successful person.

We can ask for help from anyone in our lives, but we do ourselves a favor if we ask from someone who has shown them kindness in the past.
